Eilat

Walking along the board walk at Eilat we saw over a dozen of these beautiful bright green birds.

Hannah and Seth were not impressed that in the kids section was a claw game to retrieve your own cigarettes. It is hard to escape the smoking. I am glad for all the smoking laws in America.

We found a familiar place to eat.  Unfortunately it is kosher so no meat and cheese together.

Down the coast from the coral beaches is the border crossing into Egypt. I guess this is the closest we will get.  If you look across the Gulf of Aqaba you can see Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
 The Boarder.
A shot back up to the beaches from the boarder.

Off to the beach for a little snorkeling. Abby takes a little while to get use to the whole snorkeling thing.  Poor princess!

On shore, while the big kids look for fish, Thomas finds things to keep himself busy.  Mr. Monkey Man.

Seth doesn't find a lizard at the beach but this little slimy critter, a sea urchin.

Off to the Aquarium we go.  Seth makes friends with a turtle.

We were able to watch the sharks be fed.

So much for teaching them to throw away garbage!

Hannah looks a little to happy!

 Seth the Turtle boy.

 My little egg-let.
 Princess Abby.

 AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Not only could you feed these fish but you could pet them.

 Surfing any one?

This is a glass bottom boat that we went for a ride on.

Down in the hull of the boat.
 Seth checking out the snakes.

A birds eye view from on top of the pinnacle at the observatory.

Half way up the stairs Thomas stops to look at the amazingly blue water.  I wish the picture did it justice.

Our last stop of the day at the aquarium -the oyster opening.  A lady taught the kids about how pearls are formed and then opened one to find a lovely little pearl.

Dinner at the Gulf Restaurant.

On the childrens menu they had "spring chicken hearts on a skewer".  The kids had to have one promising to eat them.  Abby was not impressed.
John puts up a good show but fails to actually eat one.
Seth is tempted but after a small taste he is finished.

After dinner we Thomas and Seth do a little bungee jumping.  John tries to capture the boys on film.
