What a handsome fellow!!
On the way to the Dead Sea they have a marker when you reach sea level. It has a cool sculpture the kids climbed all over. Abby took a video of the inside. I now need to learn how to put those on here.
We finally got to a beach. It had a flavor all its own. Palm covered cabanas, eclectic art and lots of middle-age (or ancient according to the kids) German tourists sporting speedos and bikinis.
The beach we visited is called Mineral Beach and is 417 meters below sea level. It was dry and hot. The water was really warm and nice as well. Goggles or sunglasses helped to keep water out of the eyes. It tasted horrible. If you swallowed any water you are suppose to go to the life guard and drink something. No splashing was allowed.
After awhile Thomas's cuts and sores kept him from soaking in the sea so he turned to the famous black mud. Oh what fun. Abby and Seth decided to help him out and sprinkle him with rocks. He was the site to see!
Wow! That looks awesome! Thomas looks like a Rock monster! We're looking forward to seeing you guys in a few months.
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! How fun........
ReplyDeleteSo sad to miss the German speedos! :)
Talk about a spa treatment!!
ReplyDeleteJust how did you get all that mud off??
My knowledge of spas is limited. What does the mud do? Is it to draw out impurities? Elaine
